Took my lawnmower in for repairs on the engine. I received the quote which included items, such as new wheel, rear Axle and the blade. I requested that the items which are not part of the engine repair be removed as I am able to do that myself. The service desk promptly responded that as per the Consumer protection act, that is not allowed and that I would need to reject the quotation, collect my lawnmower and do all the repairs myself if I would want to remove items which was quoted and that I did not ask for. Upon this revelation, I requested that the employee explains which section of the Act he is basing his statement on to which he refused. Am I missing something? If not, I don't recommend taking anything here, STAY AWAY.
The incompetence is unmatched! game uses them as there repair center, we took our 43cc petrol brush cutter in to game to repair as it had broken after 2 uses, it has taken them 27 working days 1 month and a half to come back and say it has been physically damaged, which it had not been I have used brush cutters my whole life. after disagreeing to it they then came back and said we had put the wrong fuel mixture in once again not true we had mixed the ratios perfectly. They want us to pay R1500 to repair a brush cutter with a value of R2000 after two light uses! the issue is that these products are poor quality and will use any excuse not to fix their products under warranty. Criminals
So very disappointed with the service that I received at this place. I bought a bench with clamps online and came into the shop to collect it. I gave them my order number and was told to wait for 5mins. That 5 mins ended up into 3 hours and when I followed up for morethan 2 times, they told me that they had given me the item but I rejected it which was so confusing for me. I asked them to bring the guy who said I rejected my order but they didn't and kept me waiting. This is very bad customer service because I had to constantly keep following up. They were not even updating me about the progress unless I ask them and when I did, they would just say give us another 5 mins, your item is coming. I expected a better service from them and that fact that no one seemed to care was very frustrating.
Phoned to find out about spares. Excellent service from Duncan. Very patient, I did not know the correct names, he assisted and gave me all the info I needed as well as the nearest places to me.
The Ryobi products are very inferior quality. They break very easily. My supposedly top of the range lawnmower, for instance, broke after the first year of service. In addition, the warranty isn't even worth the paper it is written on. Ryobi finds every excuse in the book to get out of warranty repairs.
All products done by this manufacturer is lower standard. Do not purchase any of their products especially their generators as they don't advise you accordingly and make you pay regardless of their mistakes. Rather go for another manufacturer.
Complained about the quality of the leafblower bags more than a week ago. Got an automated response promising quick action. More than a week now. Nothing.
Excellent customer service - Tiro I would like to commend Tiro for his excellent customer service. I was skeptical to drive from Pretoria to the Midrand service center at first, but I am glad I did. First greeted by Tiro, he was my contact throughout the process. His guidance was great and he explained the process of what I can expect in detail, especially the lead times AND the priority given to repair my Ryobi product. A system generated notification made updates efficient and providing a reference number quickened update feedback when I called. Going the extra mile is what Tiro strived for and the friendly interaction was always kept professional. Well done Tiro, because of YOU, I have been secured as a loyal Ryobi client and promoter. My generator purchased 19th December sent to you 4th January job # 412153 according to Andries has not even been assessed yet. 13th January. I'd hate to think how long it's going to take to repair or write off. No feedback from Builders or Ryobi.
Purchased 4 ryobi power tools from an online store. All cordless products.. 1 was missing an item item.. and another the charger was not working. That's 2 out of 4 having an issue. I used to buy alot of ryobi products..but will now reconsider.. boxes were sealed so its certainly a ryobi issue.
