Clean...wide open and inviting beach. The water is warm. No entertainment facilities and developments. If it's nature you want, you are in for a treat. The water is shallow for a decent distance into the sea. That translates to the place being safe for kids to enjoy without worry. Free entry.
Did the turtle tour, what an amazing experience. Seeing these majestic creatures coming to lay their eggs on the beach is indescribable. The effort that these turtles go through to reach the nest site's leaves you in awe! The closeness that one feels to nature when visiting Bhanga Nek is something you have to experience for yourself.
Amazing venue. Probably the most beautiful beach I've ever visited, within easy walking distance from the beach camp. Good snorkelling, although challenging unless the sea is calm amd the tide lowish. Lovely camp set in lush tropical forest. Very basic chalets which can be a bit hot on summer nights. Friendly staff.
Absolutely loved being so close to the sea! Quick and easy access for turtle viewing with local guides. The camp is rustic but not "ew!" But be prepared to share the facilities with all manner of creatures ; Note: the road to Bhanga Nek is accessible without a 4x4 but I wouldn't recommend it. There is a stretch of corrugated dirt road that will make your car want to put itself for sale on Gumtree when you get home Also, if you're taking eggs, make sure they are individually bubble-wrapped. Overall, a lovely off grid experience. We took a battery pack and solar panels to keep the fridge running. And don't expect to post your pics on Facebook till after you've left. I would love to visit again but only after we've bought a 4x4!
Such an awesome spot. Great views, short walk to beach, hot showers, clean toilets, nice tents and beds. Big fish too!! We will be back.
A beautiful spot with lovely beach, warm ocean and friendly people. In the downside, the tents are very run down and facilities are basic basic. The place needs attention for sure and someone wanting the little luxuries of life will not like it! Getting there is also tough. We took 12 hours from JHB inclusive of 2 hours to cover the last part from Manguzi getting stuck a few times along the way. This is a spot for people who are prepared to put up with some challenges for the rewards of being in an unspoilt, tropical beach destination.
A friendly community run campsite is rustic but clean with hot showers in the morning and afternoon. A little piece of paradise. Remember to find and book a guide if you going to stay during the turtle session.
Great place to visit.....no need for 4x4 car just drive your small vehicle/ private car down to beach
Very peaceful place Bhanga nek beach very clean and great tourist attractions very deep in the bush if you love nature it is a must to visit
Tented camp, 20 meters from the sea. Pristine beach very rustic. Hot water and flush toilets but no electricity. Road is upgraded and you do not need a 4x4 to travel there anymore. Highly recommended if you like camping and is self sufficient. Beautiful wild and free .
